BERLIN MEETS CHINA: Innovation made in China Event Series

#1: How Chinese innovations are shaping global e-commerce

In a short period of time, China has transitioned from the factory of the world to one of the world’s largest digital economies. The country has developed China-first innovations in various areas like on-demand services, mobility, fintech, and e-commerce.

What is happening in China is relevant to all of us. With the “Innovation made in China” events we dive deeper into the most relevant innovation that are created in China. The aim of the event series is to get inspired, identify potential new cooperation partners and discover areas that are relevant for competition.

The first session will cover the topic “How Chinese innovations are shaping global e-commerce” and takes place on 9. February, 10:00 - 11:30 am CET.

China has the largest e-commerce market in the world. China’s e-commerce sales grew to 2.3 trillion Euro in 2021, a number that is equivalent to over 45 percent of all retail sales in China. But this is not just a story of size. It is, above all, a story of innovation and disruption.

The e-commerce and social media experts Damian Maib and Tilman Lesche will present e-commerce innovations from China.
